1. VISION AND MISSION

 

Our vision is to educate the children of our society so that they:

• Gain confidence to stand on their feet and thereby change their lives for the better

•  Education is the only instrument that can transfer the children from the street to good status. 

• When one child in a family gets educated the entire family experience  transformation hence our goal is to impact the lives of people in our locality.

 

Our mission: The above vision cannot be achieved by an individual, only through committed efforts and hard work of a team, can this be made possible.  

 

The faculty members of the school play a very important role, hence utmost importance is given when recruiting teachers, they have to understand their shared commitment to the school’s educational aims.

2. ACHIEVEMENTS:

• Children from village background have been picked up and now with proper nurturing and tutoring, besides telugu, hindi, they now can speak and write in English.  Some outstanding students have scored 90% and above marks in the exams.  Besides education, students are taught personality development and discipline.

 

 3. STRATEGIES TO FURTHER ACHIEVE OUR GOAL:

• We give the students free lunch which would encourage the parents to send them to school.  Children of rag pickers, street dwellers, daily laborers, domestic servants and children who have discontinued their studies due to various reasons are attracted to the free meals and hence they join school

• Two sets of uniforms are given

• Stationary and writing slate is provided at the time of admission

 

4. MANAGEMENT AND ORGANISATION 

The school is undertaken by ABIDE EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY a registered body.

 

5. PROFESSIONAL LEADERSHIP OF THE SCHOOL

 

PRINCIPAL: The school is run under the effective and skilled leadership of Mrs. Bala Samson, B.A (Economics) who is also a talented speaker, writer and Co-leader of their Church. Her work includes: Management of teachers, other staff, educational curriculum, attendance, administration, deployment of staff, coordination and the functioning of the kitchen at school.

 

CORRESPONDENT: Mr. Samson William Hobday, B.A, works as the correspondent of the school taking care of accounts, correspondence with educational officers, submission of reports etc.

 

6. LEARNING AND TEACHING 

• We continuously implement methods to make learning easy for the students.

• Students are made to learn on a daily basis and tests are conducted daily so that they don’t have the pressure to learn it at one stretch.

• Home work is given and monitored so that they have a discipline of learning at home.

• Diary is maintained so that the parents/guardians are aware of what the students are studying

• Activities/projects are conducted so that the children learn through various other interesting methods as well.

• General knowledge is taught to the entire school at the assembly itself so that everybody gets to know

• Students are given special coaching in hand writing.

 

7. OTHER PLANS

• To teach spoken English so that students excel in their life.

• To teach English grammar

 

8. DISCIPLINE AND MORALITY

• Children are taught about basic traffic rules

• Emphasis is also made that they not only know the rules but also abide by the Government rules and regulation and be a good citizen

 

9. SAFETY MEASURES:

• ‘Good touch and bad touch’ are also explained to the students so that they stay away from evil forces of the society.

• Through spiritual teaching, the children are taught to be holy and disciplined.
